The North West Agricultural Farmers Association of South Africa (NWAFASA) is a registered union organization established to represent, support, and advocate for Household/ subsistence producers, smallholder, Medium scale Commercial and Large Scale commercial farmers in the North West Province. NWAFASA seeks to unify the voices of farmers, provide access to training, resources, and markets, and influence agricultural policy for the benefit of its members. This business plan outlines NWAFASA’s strategy to become a sustainable, impactful, and member-driven organisation that contributes meaningfully to rural development, food security, and economic growth in the province.

Our Mission

To unite, represent, and support farmers. The purpose of this initiative is to unite, represent, and support farmers by advocating for their rights and interests, facilitating access to funding, markets, and training, promoting sustainable and climate-smart agriculture.

Creating a collaborative platform for knowledge sharing and economic empowerment, including the establishment of commodity groups to enhance knowledge sharing and strengthen the agricultural community.

Vision Statement

To be the leading and most trusted representative body for farmers in the North West Province, empowering them through advocacy, capacity building, and sustainable agricultural practices. Central to this vision is the goal of ensuring meaningful inclusion.

African farmers, particularly women, youth, and historically disadvantaged groups, should not only have a seat at the table but also play leading roles in decision-making, ownership, and growth within the agricultural sector.
